Mr. Bartel

Brian Bartel graduated from Lawrence University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts in Science.  At Lawrence, Brian developed a passion for teaching while working with Professor Karen Harpp in the Chemistry department.  Under the creative drive of Harpp, Brian and some eager classmates helped put together a science demonstration show nicknamed 'The Bomb Squad'.  This demonstration show would teach science to local kids in a fun, dramatic setting.

Brian teaches chemistry and biology at Appleton West High School.  He is involved with Link Crew - a program for freshman transition at Appleton West, and is an advisor for Appleton West Peers.  Brian also serves as the Appleton West Technology Liaison, where he helps educators implement technology into their curriculum.  To this ends, Brian runs the website explodingsink.com.
