Employment News & Information
Our District includes 17 elementary, 4 middle, and 4 high schools, including an alternative school for at-risk students.  In addition, we have 12 charter schools. We have a large Hmong and Hispanic population and provide English Language Learner (ELL) services for students with limited English proficiency.

We have a positive working relationship with our employees, and a Board of Education dedicated to making our District an excellent place for children to learn.  The Board recognizes the benefits of employing and maintaining a culturally and socially diverse staff.  Accordingly, one of the Board’s goals is to employ qualified minority personnel within the District.  This supports the Board’s mission to develop a knowledge of, an appreciation for, and an understanding of different value systems and cultures, as well as developing the skills necessary to cope with social change.

The District is located in Appleton, a community of 70,000, located approximately 100 miles north of Milwaukee and 30 miles south of Green Bay.  It is a safe community offering many opportunities for participation in the arts and sports, as well as further study.  A regional airport and shopping mall are just outside of Appleton.  Many churches, organizations, and neighborhood parks help to make this a very nice area in which to live, work, and raise a family.  Visit www.appleton.org to find out more about Appleton, hometown of magician Harry Houdini, author Edna Ferber, and actor Willem Dafoe.
